Performing Arts
Beechworth Secondary College stages an annual musical production in Term 3. This is a large scale production, involving many students and staff.
Students work together in teams in a variety of theatrical areas. These range from script writing, directing, choreographing, acting, dancing, and singing as well as set, lighting, sound and costume design.
Student musicians are encouraged to form a production band, playing their chosen instrument. Participation is wide, with students from Years 7 to 12 being involved.
Other dramatic pieces are performed during the year to a range of audiences. These include VCE and intermediate Drama students performing original works, and Year 7 English students performing plays within their subjects.
